CIRQIL, Inc. ("CIRQIL," "we," "our," or "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you access or use:

  • the CIRQIL mobile applications,
  • the CIRQIL website located at www.cirqil.com,
  • any event spaces hosted on the CIRQIL platform,
  • and any related products, features, communications, or services (collectively, the "Services").

By accessing or using our Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

Depending on how you use CIRQIL, we may collect the following categories of information.

Account Information

When you create an account, we may collect:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Username
  • Password (stored securely through our authentication provider)
  • Profile photo
  • Biography
  • Company or organization
  • Professional information you choose to provide
  • Social media links you choose to provide

Some account information may also be provided by third-party authentication providers when you choose to sign in through Sign in with Apple, Google, or another supported provider. CIRQIL receives only the information the provider is authorized to share, subject to your privacy settings with that provider.

You control much of the information displayed in your profile.

Authentication Information

To help secure your account, we collect information necessary to authenticate users, including login credentials and authentication tokens.

Authentication tokens are stored securely on your device using platform-provided secure storage. Where you enable biometric unlock (such as Face ID or Touch ID on iOS, or biometric unlock on Android), biometric verification is performed entirely by your device, and CIRQIL does not receive or store biometric data.

We do not store payment card information within our authentication systems.

Event and Festival Activity

When you use CIRQIL during festivals or other live events, we may collect information such as:

  • Events you follow or attend
  • Personalized schedules
  • Favorites and bookmarks
  • Connections you make through networking features
  • Messages sent through the platform
  • Event interactions
  • Feature usage
  • Preferences you select

This information helps provide and improve the Services.

Device Information

We may automatically collect:

  • Device type
  • Operating system
  • Browser type
  • App version
  • Language
  • Time zone
  • IP address
  • Device identifiers
  • Mobile carrier (where applicable)

Usage Information

We may collect information regarding how you interact with the Services, including:

Diagnostics and Crash Information

To maintain platform reliability, we collect technical diagnostic information, including:

  • Crash reports

This information helps us identify bugs, improve stability, and enhance user experience.

Camera and Photo Library

The CIRQIL mobile app may request access to your camera and photo library so that you can:

  • capture or upload a profile photo;
  • scan QR codes for account or event actions;
  • capture or select event photos and videos to share.

CIRQIL only accesses your camera or photo library at the moment you use these features and does not access them in the background. Photos and videos you submit through the Services are treated as User Content and handled as described in this Policy.

Because the mobile app may record video with sound, your device may also request access to the microphone during camera use.

Contacts

The CIRQIL mobile app may request access to your device contacts when you choose to invite people to CIRQIL or to an event. Contact information is used only in connection with invitations you initiate and is not used for advertising or shared with other users without your action.

Calendar

Where you choose to add CIRQIL events to your device calendar, the mobile app may request permission to read from or write to your calendar. This access is used only to create or update the calendar entries you initiate.

How We Use Information

We use collected information to:

  • Provide the Services
  • Create and manage user accounts
  • Authenticate users
  • Deliver event information
  • Enable networking features
  • Personalize user experiences
  • Improve platform performance
  • Diagnose technical issues
  • Communicate with users
  • Respond to customer support requests
  • Protect against fraud, abuse, or security threats
  • Comply with legal obligations

Service Providers

We work with trusted third-party service providers that help operate the Services.

These providers may perform services such as:

  • Cloud hosting
  • Authentication (including Sign in with Apple and Google Sign-In)
  • Crash reporting and error monitoring
  • Customer support
  • Email delivery
  • Infrastructure monitoring

These providers may process information only as necessary to perform services on our behalf and are contractually obligated to protect your information.

Sharing Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share information:

  • with service providers that help operate the Services;
  • with event organizers when necessary to provide event-related functionality;

  • to protect the rights, safety, or security of CIRQIL or others;

Your Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Withdraw consent where applicable

You may also control app permissions directly from your device settings, including camera, photo library, microphone, contacts, and calendar access.

Account Deletion and Data Retention

You may delete your CIRQIL account at any time through the app (where available) or by contacting us at privacy@cirqil.com.

When an account is deleted:

  • your profile is removed from public view;
  • access to the Services is terminated;
  • personal information is deleted or anonymized within a reasonable period unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes.

Certain aggregated or de-identified information may be retained because it can no longer reasonably identify an individual.

Backup systems may retain limited information for a short period before secure deletion in accordance with our disaster recovery procedures.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information.

However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

International Users

Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

When material changes are made, we will update the Effective Date and may provide additional notice where required by law.
